This is the fifth Lecture in the series of what to do to succeed in 2020. And now we are beginning to move from thinking to working.
Once you’re done planning, then look at your plans, sit back and think of who can help you achieve each of them this year? So the fifth thing you must do this year is to know who can help you achieve what you want to achieve.
No one succeeds in life without the help of others. Every successful person have in their stories different persons that helped them at different junctions. Your own success won’t be an exception.
You must get people’s help this year, and to get those helps, you must know who you need that can help you and where each of them should help. That’s why it’s good to first know what you want and make your plans, so you could know who can help you achieve each plan.
If your vision is to make a specific amount of money within a specific period of time this year, that is what you want to achieve. Your plan, what to do to make the money, might be to sew clothes for more people that will pay promptly and higher amount, if you’re a fashion designer.
Then, sit back, think, look through your contacts, look around you and discover those kinds of people. You must know who those people you need are and move closer to them, or who can connect you to them and start developing relationship with them.
This is both an extension of your plan and the beginning of your execution. You must make into your plans who need for help, where to get them and how to get each of them, and keep connecting to them each time you site them. That is how your real work begins.
If you want to improve in your health this year, you must discover and connect yourself to some medical doctors, nutritionists or pharmacists that can help you this year. Those who can tell you what to do and not do and what to eat and not eat in order to live healthier this year.
If you want to improve spiritually, you need some spiritual assistance or want to overcome certain spiritual battles this year, you must discover the servants of God who can help you in those areas and connect to them to get the help you need through them this year.
If you want to improve your grades and perform better academically, you must locate the students that are doing better than you are in your class, or seniors who are very brilliant and connect yourself to them to get the help you need. You might also need to behave better to your lecturers this year.
If you are seeking a life partner, you must discover the kinds of people that look like people you can marry, where they flock and connect with them, interact with them and always open your eyes to search for what you need.
While there you’ll make friends, show genuine interest in others and develop good and godly relationships with different persons there. If you don’t see whom you need there, with time someone from there would surely connect you to the one you are looking for.
If your plan is to get married this year, then you’ll need someone like me who can help you get yourself ready for a happy and successful marriage. You need to connect and get the training you need that will ensure you have a marriage without regrets.
You must discover the people that can help you move forward in life and achieve your goals for the year, connect yourself to them in any good and godly way you can, and find a way to make them to help you achieve your plans for the year. You must also know what they like and create a good impression of you on them.
If your plan is to succeed better in your studies, career, business or marriage, or to get a specific number of clients or perform better at work. You might need to look for people who are already doing better than you are and achieving the kind of results you want to have, connect yourself to them and develop a good and godly relationship with them.
Then watch what they do and how they do things, or ask them questions to get ideas and directions
When you interact with those who are already achieving what you want to achieve, you will know what they do and how they achieve what they achieve, and be able to do same and reproduce their results in your life.
Whatever you want to achieve and wherever you want to attain this year, there are people who can help you achieve it and assist you to get there. You must know who they are. Sometimes you have such people around you and you don’t even know it.
Sometimes those people are in your family, on your street, in your school, at your work place or in your place of worship. Discover them and find a way to connect yourself to them. This is what will make you succeed easier and faster this year.
You’ll sometimes meet with such people at a social gathering or on social media. Find a way to talk with them, develop a relationship and get them to help you achieve your own dreams this year. You need people to succeed, and you must locate the ones you need and build good relationships with them.
Many of them could be younger than you are. Don’t feel proud but humble yourself to learn from them. Sometimes those you need to succeed in a particular area of life might even be very much lower than your status in life, but you need what they have and without it you’ll keep lacking and might not move forward in that area.
Connect with them by saying or doing things that will make them happy with you. If you see them on social media, like and love their posts. Start commenting on their posts. Say good but sincere things about what you see from them. Sometimes you need to first help those whose help you need in life.
We need to be wiser this year, it will help us to better succeed. For someone to consciously help you succeed in life, they must first like you. For them to like you, they must know you care about them or like them or what they do, or that you support them in some way. You must give something to get something back.
I told you in the first Lecture that you should not be one of those people who are always trying to get something for nothing, it doesn’t work anywhere. If you need something from someone, you must give them something in return. That is the principle of life.
That is what God too practices. For God to keep blessing you, He wants you to bless and praise Him. The more you do that the more He gives you. Whatever you give to God, He multiplies and gives it back to you. The more you praise Him for what He’s done for you, the more He likes you and blesses you and what you do.
To succeed this year, you must apply the same principle. Discover those who can help you achieve your visions and plans for the year, connect with them, make them happy and ask them for help.
Sometimes you might need to pay them to have them help you, especially if that is the work they do, or support their works or dreams. But you’ll get more of whatever you pay out. At times you’ll get the help for free.
Sometimes you need to send them some gifts, pay them a visit or take them out for dinner. You must find a way to connect with them and know what they want from you that’ll make them to give you the help you need from them; look for it and give to them. Then get from them what you need and, succeed this year.
