SHE WAS ABOUT GIVING UP

I interacted with one of the participants of our marriage and relationship training project Happy Marriage, Africa during the project period; she’s a married woman from Lesotho.

She told me she was referred to the training group by a friend. When I asked her to tell me what she has to say about the KSM training, she responded:

“It’s very helpful because now it has made me see things differently in my marriage… I was on the verge of giving up on my marriage and now I am gaining new knowledge and strength and I am so thankful for having known about….”

I told her to please tell me all about it. She replied:

“All the years that I lived in My Marriage has…been the hardest years in my life…we have always been fighting about many things. So now I know that it’s because of our Characters Incompatibility.”

She said “…It’s in rare cases where we can see things from a similar point of view and that makes our marriage very challenging that I think now we are at the stage where we are slowly growing apart.”

I asked that “Now, since the time you joined this KSM:

1. What have you learnt that can help your marriage?”
2. What have you done based on what you learnt, even if it is just one or two?”
3. What changes have you seen so far, even if it is very little?”

She narrated:

1. “I have learned that being incompatible with my partner is not the end of our marriage…there is still hope…Only God can change the bad things that I don’t like about him, my work is just to pray the right prayer.”
2. “Since I have been a member I have learned to try to see and appreciate my hubby’s Good Character after learning that every angel has its demonic side.”
3. “The change that I have seen so far is that the heaviness in my heart is disappearing and I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.”

I said “Thank God for This! I’m Glad!”

She closed by saying, “Thank you so much…you’re indeed making a difference in my life…this programme came at the right time into my life. Continue doing the good work.”

I ended with “Thanks So Greatly. God Shall Perfect the Great Things He’s Started in Your Marriage in JESUS Name!”
